MFA Costume Design

I am a costume designer, puppet designer, and educator based in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I have over twenty years of experience designing costumes and supervising costume shops; the majority of my work has been in higher education.

When I approach a design, my goals are to challenge myself and to challenge to audience. I challenge myself to explore new avenues-- new concepts, new media for renderings, new construction techniques. I challenge the audience to believe in the world they see on the stage, however distant from their own reality that might be.
